I wish the NHS (National Health Service) here in the UK understood NPD and its impact on the narcissist's targets, instead of misdiagnosing targets with BPD / EUPD because we're unable to articulate what we went through in a way that makes sense. I was eventually diagnosed with C-PTSD as I was raised in a narcissistic family dynamic (I was the scapegoat child who eventually escaped) and later on had a 10 year relationship with a narcissist, but to me Post-narcissistic abuse response (not a disorder) makes more sense than C-PTSD although my PTSD was very severe in the aftermath of the 10 year relationship. Many targets of narcissists end up being misdiagnosed with a psychiatric disorder which is a real shame as all we need is 'professionals' trained in recognising narcissistic abuse. A good video though from a self-aware narcissist.

I grew up listening to Lily The Pink by the Scaffold, i thought it was a very catchy tune, i couldn't get it out of my head. But i didn't know the names of the band members. I knew very little of the Beatles around that time, it was only later on in my life when i got really into the Beatles and managed to build up my Beatles collection and still do to this day.

Lee, how did you accept your diagnosis? I have read over and over that people with NPD literally cannot see they have this disorder. It gives me hope that one day my family will see themselves and be able to heal. I had to walk away from decades of abuse and now I must heal from the trauma. I watched most haunted in the past And I always got the impression that it was a put up job It all seemed so fake it wasn't just Derek Acora it was the rest of them too I don't think any of those haunting were genuine

I'm not here to discuss Acorah's credentials as a medium as I've never seen him perform outside Most Haunted to evaluate his alleged abilities. However, I'm pretty sure Acorah was brought on in good faith, but I suspect he was progressively pushed by the production company to "embellish things" in order to keep the programme exciting. The more the production company encouraged him to ham it up, the more he obliged with pushing those boundaries. (When you're on TV, making a name, getting paid, and think you're amongst showbiz friends - who wouldn't?) When Kieran O'Keefe (for whatever reason) decided to call Acorah out (and accusing just one person with fakery on this show even by this stage was ridiculous!) They realised that they'd pushed the show beyond credibility - and he'd now become a liability and an embarrassment to viewing figures. They then threw him under the bus... of their making for doing what was asked of him, and for which he was guilty....... of faking.
